About the Role

PitchFact provides full-service outsourced operations for angel investor networks. We've grown to serving four investor groups representing a collective 200+ individual angel investors over the last three years, and we're now expanding the team to enable us to serve more communities. As an Angel Operations Director, you'll be the operational backbone for multiple angel communities, directly supporting the evaluation, diligence and funding process for hundreds of startups every year. This is a highly independent, client-facing role that is best suited for those who crave autonomy and move fast without making compromises. This person will have a direct line to company leadership and a clear growth path as we scale. Key Responsibilities

Deal Flow Management (60%)

  • Screen incoming applications, manage entrepreneur communications, and coordinate approvals and declines
  • Prepare deal memos and manage the full investment committee process
  • Own pitch events end to end: application review, entrepreneur prep, event logistics, interest tracking, and post-event follow-up
  • Manage commitment tracking and closing coordination through to funded deals
  • Conduct portfolio monitoring: biannual surveys, dashboard updates, and investor reporting

Client Relationship Management (30%)

  • Represent multiple angel communities as their embedded Operations Director, with full ownership of the relationship and the results
  • Lead weekly ops meetings with client leadership
  • Manage member communications: newsletters, platform updates, event coordination
  • Contribute to strategic planning and best-practice implementation for network growth and operational efficiency

Platform & Systems (10%)

  • Own deal management platforms across assigned accounts
  • Create and maintain SOPs, workflows, and training materials in collaboration with ops team
  • Supervise associates and student team members
  • Manage integration with client systems (Notion, Slack, Dealum, etc.)

Success Metrics

  • Client Satisfaction: Happy clients, zero operational churn
  • Deal Flow Responsiveness: Process 100% of deals within 72 hours of receipt
  • Deal Quality: Support a 25%+ average hit rate across all pitch events facilitated

Required Experience

  • 3+ years in operations, finance, consulting, or startup work with client-facing exposure
  • Financial acumen: working understanding of startup investing & diligence concepts
  • Platform proficiency: CRM, project management, and SaaS tools
  • Executive presence: comfortable speaking in front of a room and with senior leaders
  • AI proficiency: regularly uses LLMs to streamline and optimize work

Strongly Preferred Background

  • Angel network, VC, investment banking, or startup operations experience
  • Familiarity with angel investor platforms (Dealum, AngelList, etc.)
  • MBA or equivalent business experience
  • Existing network within the startup or investor ecosystem
